International students connect at Briarwood, discipled in God’s word

International students connect at Briarwood, discipled in God’s word

Update from the International Ministry in Birmingham, Briarwood: November 2014

We kicked off the fall of 2014 with a Welcome Picnic at Lake Providence on August 23.

The event was attended by over 150 people. Students and our volunteers were able to mingle, get to know one another and enjoy many activities.

Some canoed, swam, fished, played soccer, frisbee or volleyball.

The students were grateful for an event where they felt welcomed and could relax.

We took our Christian students in the International Sunday School to Lake Guntersville State Park and High Falls Park this October.

We are developing closer friendships with them and want them to feel loved and cared for during their temporary stay in Birmingham.

While they are here we are discipling them in God’s Word, so that they can become mature Christians and make a significant impact for God’s kingdom here and in their home countries.
