Prayer for MTW South Africa
From Coby and Pamela McGinty: MTW South Africa
The Need for Prayer:
“Prayer is the travel of the soul between emptiness and fullness, between misery and mercy, between inability to help ourselves and complete ability in Him to help us. Prayer is one depth crying out to another depth; it is the depth of our necessities crying out to the depth of the fullness of God. Prayer is the messenger of the soul by which the soul keeps intimate and familiar correspondence with heaven.” – Andrew Gray
- Please pray for a favorable decision from the University of Cape Town student SRC council, that REACH student ministry would be granted society status and freedom to access the UCT campus.
- Please pray for continued divine appointments with students and ministry leaders across South Africa, as we network to build the REACH student ministry at UCT.
- UCT is asking for more practical life skills training for students. Please pray that our teaching on time management, study skills, money management, relationships and emotional health would open new doors and continue to be wonderful opportunities to share the gospel to the un-churched and de-churched students, as well as the Christian students we disciple.
“Time Management Seminars are off to a great start due to God opening many doors on campus. One of my long time prayers and goals has been to reach more non-believers. God gave us this gift of time and has used my gifts in business management to together help students succeed at university. UCT has asked me to present time management strategies to help all students with their studies and to better balance their lives while at university.” – Coby
The Harvest is Ripe:
We praise God for the fruitful ministry he has granted us over the past 10 years in South Africa, and pray for many more years of service here. We are encouraged daily by students and the amazing way God is growing and using them for his kingdom.
“I praise God for the wonderfully restful MTW Africa women’s retreat I was blessed to attend in early May. The women, from across sub-Saharan Africa, were all amazed by the beauty of Franschhoek, a vineyard region near Cape Town.
Our thirst for rest was quenched while basking in warm fellowship and sharing in blessed devotional times together. I also thoroughly enjoyed the photographic opportunities that abounded in the beautiful mountain landscape!” – Pamela
