Want to serve? Join the Detroit short-term team this June

What: Mission trip to serve and aid New City Presbyterian Church in Royal Oak, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.

When: June 21–28, 2014, Registration due April 16

Why: We will work with Pastor Ryan McVicar and a PCA church plant called New City Presbyterian Church. Our desire for this missions trip will be to serve New City as they seek to make their mission a reality.

Who: John Evans, Eric Reebals and Max Bunn will be partnering together to lead a College and Family (children 2nd grade and up) joint adventure. We are praying for you to join us.

For additional information, contact:

John Evans – jevans@briarwood.org

Max Bunn – mbunn@briarwood.org

Eric Reebals – ereebals@briarwood.org

Requirements:

  • Available for dates of the project
  • Desire to be exposed to ministry in another culture
  • Openness to missions service
  • A servant’s heart
  • Children must be rising 2nd graders and up

Our Task: In serving New City Presbyterian Church we will lead a Vacation Bible School, visit neighborhoods evangelistically and invite them to New City, and serve the staff that they might be refreshed and encouraged. We want to be the hands and feet of Christ and bring His Gospel to bear. We will also plan to have some fun by including several outings with our team.

Support Raising: One of the greatest challenges and blessings of missions service is funding. If needed, each participant will have the opportunity to raise support. While support raising is not a requirement, it has been our experience that it can be one of the greatest sources of encouragement to both the missionary and the supporter.
